Growing up, I believed I simply wasn’t athletic. Movement felt intimidating, and fitness classes often felt like places where I didn’t quite belong.
Then I discovered ballroom dance…and everything changed.
Through ballroom, I found LaBlast Fitness, a partner-free dance workout created by Dancing with the Stars professional Louis Van Amstel. I trained directly with him and fell in love with the way it teaches the real patterns and skills of ballroom dance through easy-to-follow patterns inspired by styles like cha cha, jive, salsa, and more.
No partner. No dance experience. Just joyful movement and a great workout.
The movements can be done at a higher or gentler cardio pace, so everyone can move in a way that feels good for their body while still getting a fun, effective workout.
That discovery inspired me to create Move with Gail, an online fitness community where movement feels welcoming, supportive, and joyful.
My goal is simple: to help people experience what I discovered—that exercise doesn’t have to feel like something you should do. With the right music, the right approach, and a supportive community, it can become something you genuinely look forward to.
I believe movement should feel supportive, accessible, and personal. That’s why I’m always happy to speak with new members beforehand to help them feel comfortable and confident getting started.

Gail's classes are fabulous! She gives her all, and her enthusiasm and energy are contagious (plus she has awesome playlists)! After her class, I always feel recharged and ready for the day.
I have truly enjoyed dancing through life with Gail and LaBlast. It has been over 4 years and still find each class exciting and full of happiness and joy. Thank you Gail for teaching us in the studio, live outside and on Zoom and from all over the country!!!!
I found Gail and LaBlast during the height of the pandemic and both were a life saver. Gail is a great dancer and a skillful instructor with a breadth of experience. Her warm personality always shines through and her positive energy is evident in everything she does. It's contagious.

You want to exercise but traditional fitness classes feel intimidating.
You love music and the idea of dancing—but don’t think of yourself as a “dancer.”
You’re looking for movement that feels joyful, welcoming, and supportive.
You want a real workout but also the freedom to move at your own pace.
You like the idea of learning simple ballroom-inspired dance patterns—without needing a partner.
You want to move your body in a way that lifts your mood, not just checks a box.
You finish a class feeling lighter, not drained.
You look forward to movement instead of avoiding it.
You feel proud that you showed up.
You move more easily in everyday life.
And movement becomes something you want to do.
That’s what Move with Gail is about.

In 2020, when the world shut down, we started moving together online—not as a business, but as a way to stay connected.
That class became something none of us expected.
It became a community.
As Move with Gail evolves, I’m returning to that original spirit.
The Sunday Community Class is my gift.
If you ever want to support the work, there will be optional workshops and donation-based events.
But your presence is always enough.
I hope you’ll join us.
